The Manor

Colehayes Park is a beautiful Grade II Listed, granite-built, Georgian mansion that sits in 20 acres of private woodland. Located on the edge of the stunning Dartmoor National Park, Colehayes is one of the largest self-catering accommodations available in the UK, sleeping up to 80 guests on site. The manor can accommodate weddings, family gatherings, reunions, anniversaries, birthdays, schools, university groups and holidays.

Bedrooms

The house has 21 bedrooms, all of them light, clean, comfortable and with views over the estate. Comprising of a variety of dormitory, twin and double rooms, the manor sleeps up to 70 people (Our separate rental Cork Tree Cottage in the grounds can sleep a further 11 guests). The large bathrooms consist of 16 toilets, 11 showers and 3 baths. Our elegant wedding suite has an antique 1830’s four poster bed and en suite bathroom, equipped with spa tub and separate shower.

Reception Rooms

We have a traditional oak panelled entrance hall with open fire and our spacious living room features a, marble fireplace, Italian tapestries, stunning chandeliers, elegant furniture and French doors leading out to the gardens.

Kitchens

We have a fully equipped commercial kitchen filled with everything you would need to self-cater for a large group including cutlery, crockery and glassware up to 150 people. Should you wish to hire caterers many of the local suppliers are familiar with working in our kitchen.

Dining Room

Our elegant dining room seats up to 80 guests. For larger weddings, we recommend setting up a marquee in the gardens to accommodate up to 200 guests.

Bar

The bright, retro bar with wooden flooring looks out over the gorgeous formal gardens and our rare cork oak tree.

Basement

Our basement features games rooms with table tennis and pool table for the kids and big kids.  The thick walls mean the basement is virtually noise proof, making it the perfect place to throw an all night after party!

Grounds

As you approach Colehayes Park down the mile long private drive and over the old granite bridge, it’s hard not to be struck by the beauty of the surroundings.

Gardens

We have beautifully manicured Victorian gardens which bloom into a symphony of colour in the springtime. The stunning views and peaceful tranquillity create an intimate atmosphere where guests feel completely tucked away. Our exquisite rare cork oak tree at the bottom of the garden is among the only of its kind in the UK and creates a stunning backdrop for weddings held at our custom-built wedding pavilion.

Woodland

For nature enthusiasts, our 20 acres offers a wide range of environments. From woodland, ponds, marshland, streams and cascading waterfalls the grounds are a haven for various wildlife. There are plenty of nature trails to explore along the streams and in the woodland as well as fields for games and other outdoor activities. For those who plan on having a few extra guests, our dedicated camping field, (located just a stone’s throw from the manor) is perfect for tents, tipis, campervans and caravans.

Lake

Our beautiful Victorian lake is among the most memorable features of the Colehayes estate. In the middle of the lake sits two small islands; one with a superb cedar of Lebanon tree on the connected to the woodland by a rare granite clapper bridge. The other island is home to a family of Canada geese during the spring and summer months. Our exceptional water quality makes the lake a popular swimming spot for guests, who also have the opportunity to hire kayaks and canoes.

Cork Tree Cottage

The lovely Cork Tree Cottage is set 50 yards behind the main house in the gardens. Cork Tree Cottage is a spacious, comfortable and cosy natural stone detached bungalow named after the rare British Cork Oak tree in the garden.
